'Rahul A Serious Leader': TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha Hails Bharat Jodo Yatra Compares It With Advani's 'Rath Yatra'

Shatrughan Sinha hailed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, compared his yatra to L K Advani's "Rath Yatra," and stated that this yatra will have an impact on the 2024 general elections.

Shatrughan Sinha, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) member of parliament, "praised" the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Sunday, calling it a historic and revolutionary event.

Shatrughan Sinha, Lok Sabha MP from Asansol, stated to the news agency ANI, "Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a youth icon. Unlike before, his image has totally changed. Some attempt to smear Rahul Gandhi's image, but he has emerged as a serious leader of the country ".

Sinha added, "Rahul Gandhi has the ability to become Prime Minister. People from his family have served the nation as Prime Minister, and contributed towards the country's growth," according to ANI.

Also from him: "On the basis of numbers, Mamata Banerjee will emerge as a game changer in 2024. Mamata Banerjee is an iron lady, no one can take her lightly now".

Sinha compared the Bharat Jodo Yatra to the Rath Yatra of LK Advani and the Yatra of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar. Sinha also took a shot at the Centre, which is run by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

"The BJP always asks what the Congress did in 70 years, and who gave the country institutions like IIT and IIM."

On the impact of the Bharat Jodo Yatra on the 2024 general elections, he stated, "The Bharat Jodo Yatra will definitely have an impact on the elections."

"The Indian people will decide who will be Prime Minister. People from different political parties will join hands," Sinha responded to a question about opposition unity, as stated in the report by ANI.

"Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party are on a revolutionary Yatra," Sinha stated, as per the report.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saw a large crowd gather and walk enthusiastically as the yatra resumed from the Dodwa-Taraori crossing on Sunday morning.

Party leaders Selja Kumari and Deepender Singh Hooda joined Rahul Gandhi on the 114th day of the yatra. The yatra will stop for the night in Kurukshetra near Pratapgarh GT Road.

Despite the frigid weather and dense fog that blanketed North India, particularly Haryana, the supporters were ecstatic and energetic. Along with a drum march, supporters carrying yatra posters were visible.
