Rafale deal won't turn out to be a Bofors: Nirmala Sitharaman
She further repeated that there is no crony capitalism in Rafale deal and our basic Rafale aircraft has been purchased at 9% less price than UPA’s price, and the one’s with missiles have been purchased at 20% less price.
New Delhi: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday in an exclusive conversation with ABP News, said that India is responding to continuous attacks from Pakistan. “We are attempting to fail all their efforts, though even our soldiers are getting martyred”. She also said that Pakistan’s confidence has shaken after surgical strikes. “By celebrating surgical strike day, we want to tell the nation about what our soldiers and Army are doing for us”.
Sitharaman said that the Rafale allegation against PM isn’t the first one. Fingers are being pointed out at him since he was Gujarat CM, but no one has ever accused him of corruption, nor has ever any allegation against him proven true. “Rahul Gandhi is calling PM thief by quoting former French President, but when Manmohan Singh was called names, PM Modi condemned the same. But, by calling PM thief, Congress is showing its culture”.
She further said that “Congress couldn’t even provide our soldiers with bullets to fight back in 10 years, and when we are working, they are levying false allegations and diverting the attention of people”. She further said that “Congress couldn’t do a deal because they were looking for commission in between”.
She further repeated that there is no crony capitalism in Rafale deal and our basic Rafale aircraft has been purchased at 9% less price than UPA’s price, and the one’s with missiles have been purchased at 20% less price.
She further said that Rafale won’t prove to be Bofors since it doesn’t have any middleman or corruption.
She concluded by saying that the neighboring country’s minister attempted to begin dialogue between Imran Khan and India. “He is new and we will give him some time” she added.
