Punjab Election: Arvind Kejriwal Is A Migratory Bird, Says Sidhu. Claims AAP Has No Roadmap For State
Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu claimed that Arvind Kejriwal had no roadmap for Punjab and he wanted to run the state with remote control from Delhi.
New Delhi: Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday continued his tirade against AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal as he dubbed the Delhi Chief Minister as a “migratory bird”.
According to Sidhu, Arvind Kejriwal is visiting various states to lure people with fake promises, only to return to the national capital eventually.

Speaking at a news conference held at his residence, Navjot Sidhu slammed Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for making false promises to the people of Punjab, news agency PTI reported.
The Punjab Congress president claimed that the AAP leader had no roadmap for Punjab and he wanted to run the state with remote control from Delhi.
“How can he (Kejriwal) think better for Punjab when there is not even a single Punjabi in his Cabinet,” Sidhu questioned.
When asked about AAP’s ‘Janta Chunegi Apna CM’ drive, Navjot Singh Sidhu called the exercise a drama: “It is a drama to befool Bhagwant Mann. I have deep respect for my old friend Mann who calls me guru. Kejriwal in Delhi did not seek such public’s advice and wasted no time to sit on the chair of the CM”.
Replying to a question about some Congress leaders turning rebels after the announcement of the first list of candidates, Sidhu revealed that he urged them to support the party and added if the need arises, he will meet to pacify them.
He further stated that if Congress returns to power after the elections, it will work to generate more employment in the state.
He also talked about his Punjab Model, emhasising a roadmap for generating more revenue for the state from liquor and sand mining.
According to Sidhu’s Punjab model, there was a plan to introduce Punjab e-governance with a single-window service.
With this e-portal, any kind of government service like obtaining a driving license, either death or birth certificate would become hassle-free, the Punjab Congress chief claimed.
Notably, Sidhu’s comments come as Arvind Kejriwal said that AAP’s chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly election will be announced on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, accepting the demand of political parties, the Election Commission on Monday decided to hold the single-phase Assembly election in Punjab on February 20 instead of February 14 in view of Guru Ravidas Jayanti.
