In an exclusive interview with the ABP News, Maan also accused Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi of being involved in illegal sand mining.

He said that the center’s raids on Channi’s relatives must have some ground, and “the ones who were supposed to stop the mining mafia, are themselves involved with the mafia.”

Talking of those who left the party, Maan said “they did what they wanted to do, and we will not take them back, They will reap the consequences of their actions.”

Punjab is scheduled to hold assembly elections on February 20 after the Election Commission accepted Congress’ request to delay polling by a few days in view of the spreading coronavirus cases in the country. Earlier, Punjab was scheduled for assembly elections on February 14.
