Pratyusha Banerjee death: Rahul Raj threatens to commit suicide, father writes to CM

Mumbai: Rahul Raj Singh, boyfriend of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who is accused of abetment of her suicide, threatened to jump off the hospital building. Rahul, who has been booked for abetment of suicide, was undergoing treatment for alleged depression at a hospital in Borivali. Rahul had reportedly locked himself up in the bathroom at the first floor of the hospital. “While the doctors tried to convince him to step out of the washroom, Rahul threatened to jump off the building," Hindustan Times reported source as saying. However, The doctors talked to him and managed to convince him to come out from the bathroom. He was discharged from the hospital on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, Rahul's father Harshvardhan Singh has written a letter to the Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis requesting to ensure that justice prevails. In the letter he writes to CM alleging that some people are trying to sabotage probe in Pratyusha Banerjee death case. He writes that there are certain people unaware of facts and adamant to damage name and reputation of his family, because of false allegations laid by them Rahul may take any drastic step. Earlier, the parents of TV star Pratyusha Banerjee have written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis requesting for a probe by Mumbai Police Crime Branch into her death. In their letter to the CM, they have alleged that Pratyusha's boyfriend and actor-producer Rahul Raj Singh was "solely responsible for her death".
