PMC Bank Scam | Kirit Somaiya, Son Neil Will Go To Jail, Mark My Words: Sanjay Raut
While addressing a press conference in Mumbai today, Raut said why is the father-son duo applying for anticipatory bail if they haven't committed any crime.
New Delhi: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has again hit out at BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil for their alleged role in the PMC Bank scam case. While addressing a press conference in Mumbai today, Raut said why is the father-son duo applying for anticipatory bail in the court if they haven't committed any crime.
"If they have not done anything wrong, then why are they approaching courts for anticipatory bail," said Raut during the press meet, reported news agency ANI.
The Shiv Sena MP also leveled allegations against Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil for threatening ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders of sending them to jail with assistance of central agencies.
"The father-son duo, Kirit and Neil Somaiya, are involved in extortion and other illegal activities. With the help of Central agencies, they are threatening others to send them to jail. The Maharashtra Police are investigating various cases related to them. "Mark my words!" soon they will be behind bars," said Raut to reporters in Mumbai
Last month Raut had accused Kirit Somaiya's son Neil of having links with Rakesh Wadhwan, an accused in the PMC bank fraud. The Sena leader had also questioned the source of Rs 260 crore invested in Somaiya's project in Palghar district and the association Neil and his wife Medha have as directors in the project Nikon Green Ville.
Raut allegations against Somaiya came after the BJP leader went on a trail to identify assets owned by the Sena MP and Rashmi Thackeray, wife of Mahrashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
