PM Modi lauded the NDA government for a third term in power and hit out at the opposition by saying he could understand the pain of those who lost badly after continuously spreading lies. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday replied to the Motion Of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu in Lok Sabha amid an uproar by the opposition MPs in the lower house of the Parliament.

PM Modi lauded the NDA government for a third term in power and hit out at the opposition by saying he could understand the pain of those who lost badly after continuously spreading lies.

- "Our President, in her speech, has detailed our resolve of Viksit Bharat. The honourable President has raised crucial issues, she has guided us and the country," PM Modi said.

- "Those who dance with Constitution on their head did not dare to implement it in J&K, they insulted BR Ambedkar," Modi said while taking a jibe at the opposition.

- He said that the NDA government took India's economy to 5th place in the last 10 years. He added that the government is now aiming to make the country third largest economy. 

- "When we came to power in 2014, we had said that we will have zero tolerance towards corruption. Corruption had ravaged the country like termites. However, the countrymen have blessed us for our zero-tolerance approach to corruption," the prime minister said.

-  He said that the country saw appeasement politics for long, but the NDA government followed 'santushtikaran' not 'tushtikaran'. He added that the NDA government did justice for all and appeasement for none.

- The Prime Minister said that the government is working on a war footing to curb incidents of paper leaks, while asserting that those playing with the future of youngsters will not be spared. "Those playing with the future of youngsters will not be spared, arrests are being made across the country in the NEET issue. The Centre has already framed strict laws and important steps are being taken to strengthen the entire system of conducting examinations," he said.

- PM said the people of the country had seen the dedication with which his government served them for 10 years. "In our third term, we will work at triple the speed. Our third term means we will put in thrice the strength," he said.

- Modi singled out Rahul Gandhi saying the House witnessed the wailing of a person with balak buddhi (childish behaviour) who tried to gain sympathy without disclosing the wrongs he had committed. "This is the first time that the Congress has not crossed 100 seats for three consecutive times. Instead of conceding defeat, they are being arrogant," he said.
