Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra on June 14 to inaugurate significant landmarks in Mumbai and Pune. During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Jagadguru Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple in Dehu, Pune. PM Modi will also inaugurate the Jal Bhushan building and the Gallery of Revolutionaries at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. Jal Bhushan, the official residence of the Governor of Maharashtra since 1885, has been reconstructed after reaching the end of its lifespan. The new building, whose foundation stone was laid by the President of India in August 2019, preserves the distinctive features of the old structure.

The Gallery of Revolutionaries, developed in a renovated bunker within Raj Bhavan, serves as a unique museum commemorating the contributions of freedom fighters and revolutionaries from Maharashtra. It celebrates historical personalities, such as Vasudev Balwant Phadke, the Chapekar brothers, the Savarkar brothers, Madam Bhikaji Cama, and VB Gogate. It also marks the Naval Mutiny in 1946.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will participate in the Dwishatabdi Mahotsav (200 years' celebration) of 'Bombay Samachar' (now Mumbai Samachar) at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. 'Bombay Samachar' started as a weekly newspaper on July 1, 1822, under the editorship of Fardunjee Marzbanji and later became a daily publication in 1832. As it marks two centuries of continuous publication, a postage stamp will also be released to honour the newspaper as the oldest running paper in India.
