LIVE UPDATES: PM Narendra Modi holds his first-ever townhall

New Delhi: PM Modi would be holding his first townhall session on Saturday. The session is scheduled to take place between and 5 and 6 pm, where at least two thousand people have been invited as audience. The event would take place on the occasion of two years of MyGov, Government’s website where the nationals can engage with the Government and discuss various issues. Prime Minister would also be launching a mobile App which would help citizens directly get in touch with PMO’s (Prime Minsiter’s office) website. The opening session of the townhall would be hosted by union minister Ravishankar Prasad. The one-on-one session would discuss various measures Government is taking for the betterment of the citizens along with the issues the citizens are facing on the other hand. Finance Minsiter Arun Jaitley would also be speaking during the session. This address would take place ahead of PM Modi’s speech. The top Ministers would invite ideas and suggestions from the audience for improving Government’s MyGov website. There would be panel discussions ahead of the Prime Minsiter’s speech. PM Modi would also be handing over awards to the winners of the GoI website.
