PM Modi To Chair Union Cabinet, CCEA Meeting Today. Returns To Delhi After Tokyo Visit

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to chair Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) and Union Cabinet meet on Wednesday, May 25. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the prime minister's residence in Delhi at 11 am. Though the agenda of the meet is not clear, discussions are expected to be held on important matters, especially after PMs return from the Quad summit, reported ABP News.
PM Modi Wednesday arrived at the Air Force Station, Palam, Delhi after participating in the two-day Quad Leaders' Summit in Japan. The Summit in Tokyo was the fourth interaction of Quad leaders since their first virtual meeting in March 2021.
During the summit, the leaders discussed a host of issues from open and inclusive Indo-Pacific to importance of upholding the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and Russian military action in Ukraine , reported news agency ANI.
Taking part in the fourth summit, PM Modi laid emphasis on India's consistent and principled position on the need for cessation of hostilities, resumption of dialogue and diplomacy.
PM Modi also had bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden and new Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to boost cooperation among the member nations of the influential grouping and discussed developments in the strategic Indo-Pacific region. He is also expected to have a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
During his visit to Japan, the Prime Minister also interacted with the members of the Indian community there and said that both the countries were natural partners, and that the latter had an important role to play in India's development.
