PM Modi, Nitish Kumar share dais after 10 years in Patna rally

Before this, Modi and Kumar shared a common dais in the year 2009 at a political rally in Ludhiana.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Cm Nitish Kumar came together on a stage for the first time in ten years, at ruling coalition NDA's  Sankalp rally, held in Bihar's capital Patna, on Sunday. PM was revived by Kumar upon reaching Patna. Before this, Modi and Kumar shared a common dais in the year 2009 at a political rally in Ludhiana. The PM is  expected to blow the poll bugle in the politically significant state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The rally is aimed at taking a resolve to make a new and secure India under the leadership of Modi.  The ruling coalition's rally at Gandhi Maidan will be also addressed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union minister Ramvilas Paswan. Bihar has a total of 40 Parliamentary seats. Yadav, who is BJP's Bihar in-charge, claimed that Saturdays public meeting would be the biggest so far at the huge Gandhi Maidan in terms of presence of people. Tomorrow NDAs Sankalp rally is being organized to take a resolve to make a new, strong, prosperous, safe and secured India. We thank government and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this, -party General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav, a Rajya Sabha member, told reporters. The government is steadily moving ahead with its mantra of Sabka sath, sabka vikas, he said claimed there is a growing feeling among people to give another chance to Modi in the coming Lok Sabha polls. Yadav was accompanied by Bihar unit chief Nityanand Rai, former minister Nitish Mishra and MLC Sanjay Mayukh during the press meet organized here at the party office on the eve of the programme. Workers and leaders of all the three NDA constituents- BJP, JD(U) and LJP- have been working hard to make the rally a grand success, Yadav said. After his Patna programme, the PM will visit Amethi in UP, where he will unveil several other development projects for Amethi and the region, a statement from his office said. At Kauhar in Amethi, the PM will dedicate the Indo-Russia Rifles Pvt Limited to the nation. This would be Modi's first visit to Amethi after coming to power in 2014. He visited the neighbouring Rae Bareli constituency, represented in Lok Sabha by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, in December.
