PM Modi's Revenge Was Beyond Enemy's Imagination, This Is Naya Bharat: BJP MP Sambit Patra

Sambit Patra also praised the Indian armed forces for showing "indomitable courage" and for making Operation Sindoor a success. He said PM Modi's revenge for Pahalgam was beyond enemy's imagination.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sambit Patra on Monday lauded the Indian Armed Forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Operation Sindoor and stated that the PM had promised he will "avenge" the death of 26 people in Pahalgam terror attack, and that the operation was carried out in a way that was "beyond the enemy's imagination".

Sambit Patra briefed the media at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, where he said that there was a demand for immediate action within the country from April 22 to May 7. He said PM Modi had promised to take revenge which would be beyond the enemy's imagination, adding that the Indian armed forces fulfilled their promise and "despite surgical strikes in the past, Pakistan could not guess when it would be struck."

"After the Pahalgam terror attack, the PM has promised that we will avenge the death of 26 people. The PM said that the revenge would be beyond the enemy's imagination, and so it was. He had also said "mitti mein milayenge" and "ghus ke maarenge"; that is what we did. PM Modi's decision and the bravery of our Armed Forces ensured terror sites are reduced to rubble... From 22nd April till 7th May, there was an atmosphere of tension in the country; there was a demand for immediate action. Despite surgical strikes in the past, Pakistan could not guess when it would be struck", Sambit Patra said.

Patra went on to praise the Indian forces for showing "indomitable courage" and for making Operation Sindoor a success.

"The Indian Army has shown indomitable courage. Today the Bharatiya Janata Party and all its workers thank the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy and all those brave soldiers due to whom Operation Sindoor has been successful. If seen in the true sense, the whole of India knows about Operation Sindoor today. Yesterday all three DGMOs addressed the country and put all the facts before us", Sambit Patra said.

The BJP MP stated that entire nation is aware about Operation Sindoor and highlighted how all three DGMOs shared the facts during a briefing on Sunday, May 11.

Lauding PM Modi for suspending the Indus Water Treaty and launching Operation Sindoor subsequently, he said: “This is an extraordinary achievement. To strike deep inside Pakistan and eliminate their terror camps... This is Naya Bharat. We attack them in their own backyards."

"This is the first time that a country has struck deep inside a nuclear-armed nation," he added.

Patra said that nearly 90% of Pakistan's water supply is dependent on water from Indus and about 80% of their agricultural water relies on it. "If this water is cut off, Pakistan’s GDP will drop by a quarter. If Pakistan is deprived of this water, their conditions will worsen, and their agriculture will suffer," the BJP MP said.

On May 7, the Indian armed forces launched precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, successfully taking down nine major terror camps linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. These camps were spread across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), with five located in PoK and four deep inside Pakistani territory.

Among the targets hit in Pakistan, Muridke and Bahawalpur stood out as particularly significant because these locations weren’t just hideouts. They doubled as residences for top commanders and as training grounds for new recruits.
