32 Airports Reopen After Ceasefire, Srinagar Airport Remains Closed

Civil flight operations from the 32 airports were suspended from May 9 to May 15 due to the military standoff between India and Pakistan. 

The 32 airports which were closed amid India-Pakistan tensions reopened on Monday after the ceasefire agreement. However, Srinagar airport remained closed.

Civil flight operations from 32 airports across northern and western India, including Srinagar, Chandigarh and Amritsar, were suspended from May 9 to May 15 due to the military standoff between India and Pakistan. 

The Airports Authority of India in a statement said, "Attention Flyers; reference notice issued for temporary closure of 32 airports for civil Aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025. It is informed that these Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect. It is recommended for travellers to check flight status directly with airlines and monitor airlines' websites for regular updates."
