PM Modi Completes Two Decades Of Inspiring Leadership, Wishes Pour In From Party Members

As Modi entered the 20th glorious years of his public office, the PM spearheaded development towards the goal of making an "Atmanirbhar Bharat".

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday completed two decades of glorious service to the nation on Thursday, and wishes poured in from BJP leaders. For the first time Modi took oath as the Gujarat chief minister in 2001 and today marks his completion of 20 years dedicated to public service. Out of those 20 years, the PM had spent seven years in the Prime Minister's Office.

To mark Modi’s illustrious years of service, the BJP has planned a series of events including awareness about PM Narendra Modi's works in public office with a focus on cleanliness, in line with the “Swachh Bharat” vision of the Prime Minister.

As Modi entered the 20th glorious years of his public office, the mantra of 'development for all' continues to steer India towards the goal of making an "Atmanirbhar Bharat".

Congratulating the PM on glorious 20 years, home minister Amit Shah said, “Prime Minister on completing 20 years of public service as Head of State and central governments. He dedicated the 20 years to the upliftment of the poor, Modi made the impossible possible with his strong will and his vision of thinking ahead of time."

While Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed wishes to the PM, “Hearty congratulations to the PM for completing 20 years in public life while holding a constitutional post. These 20 years have been unblemished along which was devoted to public welfare. His popularity has been increasing continuously and may continue to grow,” tweeted Singh.

Health minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said, “Today marks 20 years of PM @NarendraModi ji's governance in the service of the people.  He began on October 07, 2001, as the CM of Gujarat and since then, has heralded a new era of development of the nation, transforming the people's lives."

Even as Modi's journey to the head of an elected government started in 2001 amid the relief work for the devastating Bhuj earthquake. The subsequent years saw Modi focusing on pro-people policies and actively reaching out to the people directly which made him the leader of the masses.

Commerce minister Piyush Goyal praised the PM on the magnificent 20 years saying the PM has become the charioteer of the development journey of the country.
