Suggestions from PM Modi

According to an Indian Express report, the prime minister suggested, the BJP should assess its performance in detail so that it can prepare for future polls be it defeat or victory. After facing defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, PM Modi suggested that the party should learn from the way TMC snapped back from the 2019 Lok Sabha election defeat when BJP had won 18 of 42 seats in the state.

To communicate more efficiently, the PM suggested social media pages in every regional language.

BJP lost during the Assembly elections in Kerala and won only four seats in Tamil Nadu. The PM suggested that the party should work towards forming an alliance with non-Hindu communities in Kerala, Christian community, as it “does not seem to be having any major issues in joining hands with BJP” sources told the Indian Express.

Assembly elections are scheduled in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur during February - March next year. Gujarat Assembly polls are also slated for 2022 end.

During the review meeting, Modi was apprised of the outcome of the discussion held on the upcoming Assembly polls preparations and the ongoing organizational works including 'Sewa Hi Sangathan 2.0'. The works done by the state units under the 'Sewa Hi Sangathan 2.0' campaign, which was launched to provide help and relief to the people during the second wave of the Covid pandemic, were also reviewed.

BJP national General Secretaries BL Santhosh, Shiv Prakash, Arun Singh, CT Ravi, D Purandeshwari, Dilip Saikia, Tarun Chugh, Dushyant Gautam, Kailash Vijayvargiya and Bhupendra Yadav were present at the meeting.
