Passengers offloaded as suspicious bag found on Amritsar-Dubai flight

Amritsar: A tense situation was observed in an Dubai-Amritsar bound flight after a suspicious bag was recovered on Thursday morning at  the Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, airport sources said.  All the passengers were immediately  offloaded from the flight and a bomb disposal squad of security agencies were put to work to carry out a search operation in the aircraft. Also, the plane was removed from the runway and parked in an isolated spot for the search. According to the Police sources, "the information regarding the bag was received through an anonymous call." Flight operations at the airport were suspended following the incident. No one had claimed the bag so far.
