Party Drugs Worth Rs. 40 Crore Found At BJP Leader's House In Manipur

The BJP leader involved in this case got elected last year as the Indian National Congress (INC) but later joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to form the council in Chandel.

Manipur:  Seven people were arrested on Wednesday including Bhartiya Janta Party leader and chairman of ADC in the district of Chandel, Lutkhosei Zou, by The Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) with drugs worth Rs 27 crores. The drugs seized include 4.595kg of heroin and 28 kg of WY (World is Yours) tablets. The seizure also involve new currency of Rs 57.18 lakh and old currency worth Rs 95,000. While investigating, one 0.32 NPB pistol with 21 rounds, one SBBl Rifle, two gun license books and eight bank passbooks were also recovered. He led the team of police to his house where he pulled out two large suitcases from the ceiling containing the drugs in soap cases and plastic bags.
