India has so far recorded close to 250 cases of Omicron across 15 states and union territories even though at least 90 of the infected people have either recovered or migrated. Although there haven't been any serious ramifications with the Omicron variant in India, it is said by the WHO that it is a highly transmissible variant, thus, utmost care is taken by the governments.
Delhi reported 125 cases of Coronavirus on Wednesday, the highest spike the national capital witnessed in over 6 months. It is being speculated that New Delhi is heading towards another lockdown.
In other news, PMK Modi will be in Varanasi today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch and lay the foundation stone for 22 projects worth over Rs 870 crore on Thursday, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). The PMO, in a statement, said it was the Prime Minister's constant endeavour to strive for the development and economic advancement of his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi.
PM Modi will also digitally transfer a bonus of about Rs 35 crore to the bank accounts of more than 1.7 lakh milk producers.

Delhi Reports 118 Fresh Covid Cases In Last 24 Hrs, Maharashtra Records Over 1,000 New Infections
Delhi reports 118 positive cases, one death and 57 recoveries in the last 24 hours. No new case of Omicron was reported in national capital today.
Active cases: 684
Total Positive Cases: 14,42,633
Total Deaths: 25,103
Maharashtra reports 1,179 new Covid19 cases, 615 recoveries and 17 deaths in the last 24 hours.
23 more patients have been found to be infected by Omicron. Till date, a total of 88 patients infected with the #Omicron variant have been reported in the state
