An all-party meet has been called on November 28 ahead of Parliament's winter session, informed the sources, reported ANI.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also attend the meet,” they said.

The all-party meeting called by the parliamentary affairs minister will be held at 11 am, News18 reported. Following this, a meeting of the BJP parliamentary executive committee and another one of NDA floor leaders in the afternoon will take place. PM Modi will attend both these meetings also, the report mentioned.

It was further stated that a meeting of Rajya Sabha leaders will take place around 5.30 pm at the residence of Rajya Sabha chairperson and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. The Lok Sabha floor leaders’ meeting will be conducted by the speaker and is likely to take place on November 27, reported News 18.

Meanwhile, in another important update related to the upcoming Parliament session, the Union Cabinet is likely to take up the bills for withdrawal of the three farm laws for approval on Wednesday i.e. November 24, news agency PTI had credited sources in the government as saying.

This comes in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprise announcement where he said that Centre is going to withdraw the contentious agrarian laws in the interest of the nation.

The Union Cabinet is likely to take up the bills for withdrawal of the three farm laws for approval on Wednesday, sources in the government told PTI.

These bills shall then be introduced in the forthcoming session of Parliament, they added.

Following the prime minister’s announcement, the government will bring bills for the withdrawal of the three agrarian laws in Parliament.

The previous Monsoon Session of the Parliament had witnessed a lot of protest from the opposition over issues such as the demands of repealing contentious agrarian laws and initiating an inquiry into the Pegasus snooping claims, leading to frequent adjournments in both Houses.

The nation witnessed unprecedented pandemonium and unruly scenes when the bill on insurance business was taken up. Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die, two days before the scheduled conclusion. Both Centre and Opposition had levelled serious accusations at each other over the ruckus witnessed.
