I.N.D.I.A. Bloc Not To Release Logo Today As Leaders Suggest Last-Minute Design Changes

The logo of the Opposition I.N.D.I.A. alliance will not be unveiled during the bloc’s meeting in Mumbai.

Opposition Parties Meeting: The logo of the Opposition I.N.D.I.A. alliance will not be unveiled during the bloc’s meeting in Mumbai on Friday. According to the sources, the leaders of the bloc are yet to reach a consensus on the logo and a change pertaining to the design of the logo has been suggested. The logo is likely to be launched in the next meeting. The unveiling of the logo of the group was among the agendas of the meeting.

Meanwhile, on the day 2 of the meeting, the coordination committee will be elected. This panel will streamline the working of the alliance across India. The committee will decide the national agenda, common campaign issues, and common programme outlines. A logo of the group will also be unveiled at the third meeting of the Opposition. According to sources, the Trinamool Congress had a significant role to play in the design of the logo. Sources said the logo will reflect the nation's identity and diversity.

The Opposition will also decide on a research department and Secretariat for election management. The Opposition will also decide on a media coordination team and a social media team to strategise and disseminate information ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2024. The INDIA bloc will also appoint 5-10 spokespersons for the Opposition alliance.

Ahead of the meeting, a poster of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde was seen outside the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, where the "united" Opposition leaders have gathered for deliberations on a common strategy for Lok Sabha 2024.

Earlier in the day, several leaders arrived at the meeting venue in Mumbai. The list of leaders include: Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibbal, UBT leader Sanjay Raut, NCP leader Supriya Sule, former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, Congress leader Ashok Chavan, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, along with his son and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.

On Thursday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee underlined the importance of prompt action, expressing that time is of the essence. Following the conclusion of the INDIA alliance's informal meeting, Banerjee conveyed a sense of urgency and the need to swiftly move forward.
