The ruling TMC is pitching for Mamata Banerjee as the Chief Minister while BJP's party in charge JP Nadda has taken the matter into his own hands and has been visiting Bengal. Home Minister Amit Shah also conducted mega roadshows in a bid to win the upcoming elections. 

It's not only Bengal that is facing the political heat but 4 more states will hold assembly elections this year. The five poll-bound states are West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.
