One Cabinet berth, 1 MoS post to be given to JD-U in Modi government: Sources

Sources say JD-U will be a part of the Modi govt. Decision on portfolios to be taken soon.

New Delhi: As Nitish Kumar forged an unexpected alliance with BJP to form government in Bihar leaving Lalu's RJD in disarray, there are now indications that that the JD-U will yet again roped into the NDA. Nitish took oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for the six time on Thrusday and senior BJP leader Sushil Modi was appointed the Deputy Chief Minister for the third time. Sources say JD-U could likely get a Cabinet berth and one Minister of State (MoS) post in the Modi government which will undergo a reshuffle next month. A decision on it will be taken soon when both parties meet. The decision to nominate a minister in Centre will be taken by Nitish Kumar. Meanwhile, ANI Sources also claimed that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar could be included in the Cabinet. Neither Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nor JD (U) has confirmed the news.
