Noida: Genpact India’s Assistant Vice President commits suicide over sexual harassment charges
In the suicide letter, Swaruj Raj wrote that the cases of molestation against him are baseless but he does not have the courage to face them.
NOIDA: Genpact India’s Assistant Vice President Swaruj Raj committed suicide after being suspended from his job over sexual harassment allegations. Two women working in the company had accused him of molestation. After the allegations, the company had set an internal inquiry, where the charges found to be correct in the investigation and he was suspended. There is no statement of Genpact following Swaroop Raj's suicide.
Swaruj Raj left behind a suicide letter in which he said that he is not guilty. In the suicide letter, he also wrote that the cases of molestation against him are baseless but he does not have the courage to face them.

While talking to ABP News, Swaruj Raj’s wife said that after an internal investigation in the case, the office had suspended him from the job. Kriti said “when I returned from work at night, the door was not open. When I was able to get inside saw Swaruj hanging from the fan.” She further added “Girls have the right to accuse anyone and ruin their life. So today people do not keep female employee.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, he had joined Genpact in 2007 as a process developer and had then climbed the corporate ladder.
SHO (Surajpur) Munish Chauhan said that the Uttar Pradesh is now investigating the case. He told Indian Express “He was found hanging from the ceiling. A note was discovered from the possession of the deceased in which his suspension over harassment allegations by a woman was mentioned. No complaint has been filed by the family so far.”
