Rahul Gandhi once called us 'nashedi' so asked him 'Kaun Sa Karke Aaye Hain Aaj': Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Taking a jibe at the Congress leader, Badal later clarified that she wasn’t smiling in appreciation but in sarcasm.

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Lok Sabha during the debate on the no-confidence motion today, where he launched a blistering attack on PM Modi, has surprised one and all. After the session resumed after adjournment, Rahul had hinted at Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and said that NDA’s own ministers were smiling at his speech. However, taking a jibe at the Congress leader, Badal later clarified that she wasn’t smiling in appreciation but in sarcasm. She said that Rahul came to Punjab calling them 'Nashedi' (addicts), so she gestured at him asking “kaun sa karke aaye hain aaj? (what has he consumed today?). She said: “after watching Rahul’s drama, during the adjournment I asked him and his mother in gesture what has the person who calls us ‘nashedi’ consumed today? They saw me smiling but they did not understand what I was actually suggesting?” She further said that "We have all watched Rahul Gandhi speaking all these years, but this drama was a novelty." She also said that she didn't have an idea that it would be earthquake of laughter. Rahul Gandhi enacted a scene from Munna Bhai but he failed Amitabh Bachchan in acting. Watch:
