No talks over 'crime incidents' during meeting held by UP CM Yogi Adityanath: DGP

Considering the deteriorating condition of the safety and security conditions in Uttar Pradesh, it was expected that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s meeting would revolve around the security issue. But, to everyone’s surprise; the matter wasn’t even touched in the meeting.

Uttar Pradesh: Days after major crimes shook the state one after another, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday held a meeting with senior police officers in Lucknow. Considering the deteriorating condition of the safety and security conditions in Uttar Pradesh, it was expected that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s meeting would revolve around the security issue. But, to everyone’s surprise; the matter wasn’t even touched in the meeting. Speaking on CM Yogi’s meeting state DGP said “No discussion took place about the crime incidents that took place recently and instead there was a discussion on upcoming projects and the budget.” The same has come as a disappointment for the people of the state, who have been eyeing some relief from the government over the increasing crimes. The meeting took place only days after a man in Meerut was stabbed to death, while he was trying to save the life of his 14-year-old daughter, a woman was shot dead in the middle of a busy market in the state and a 14-year-old was torched alive inside her house in front of her mother; in three different incidents.
