No confidence motion: Swabhimani Paksha MP Raju Shetti to vote against government, says "Farmers' demands not met so far''
"If finance minister declares before tomorrow’s voting that the country’s farmer is free from loans then will vote in favour of government”
New Delhi: In a jolt to Bharatiya Janata Party, Swabhimani Paksha MP Raju Shetti on Thursday stated that he would not vote in favour of the government during the no-trust motion voting in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
The MP said that since the promises of waving the loan debts of the farmers have not been met, therefore he would not vote in the favour of the government.
“If finance minister declares before tomorrow’s voting that the country’s farmer is free from loans then will vote in favour of government” he said.
Devappa Anna Shetti is a Member of Parliament from Hatkanangle constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha.
A voting for no-trust motion against the Modi government is set to take place in the Lok Sabha on Friday after the opposition moved a motion on Wednesday.
To ensure there is a full pro-BJP strength in the house, PM Modi has issued a whip to his MPs to be present in the parliament for next two days.
