Navratri Festival Organized For Devotees Of Mata Vaishno Devi To Boost Tourism

Navratri festival is being celebrated for devotees of Mata Rani during Navratri. This will attract tourists and devotees to visit Katra and it will also give a new impetus to the economy in J&K.

Jammu: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has organized a Navratri festival for devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi across the country during Sharadiya Navratri. This will attract tourists and devotees to visit Katra, and will also give a new impetus to the economy in Jammu and Kashmir that is adversely affected due to corona. In order to promote tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, and attract more and more tourists to come to the state, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has started an exercise.

'Tourism gets a boost'

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has started it with Navratri and this time Navratri festival has been organized in Katra after nearly two years. According to the Jammu and Kashmir administration, a number of events will be organized not only during this Navratri but also during the upcoming festive season to attract tourists to Jammu and Kashmir that will boost tourism and economy here. 

'Traders happy with Navratri'

Not only are the traders of Katra happy with the start of the Navratri festival in Katra, but the artists have also participated in this festival with great enthusiasm. These artists believe that due to the corona, they have not been able to participate in any such event for quite some time now. But, now that the wave of the corona has subsided and people are living their normal lives again. Such events not only boost the enthusiasm of these artists but can also attract tourists to visit Jammu and Kashmir. This Navratri festival in Katra is attracting not only domestic but also foreign devotees. 

Devotees coming from US

Devotees who arrived from Boston in the US to pay obeisance to Mata Rani during Navratri claim that such events will not only attract tourists and devotees to come to Katra but will also give a new impetus to the economy in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has clarified that all measures will be taken to promote tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. The administration has advised devotees arriving here to take necessary measures to protect themselves from the corona.
