N Chandrasekaran named new group chairman of Tata Sons
New Delhi: The TCS chief Natarajan Chandrasekaran is all set to become Tata Sons' new Chairman, in place of Cyrus Mistry reported PTI citing sources.
Country's $100 billion salt-to-software conglomerate Tata Sons named N Chandrasekaran as their new chairman on Thursday, sources said.
Who is Natarajan Chandrasekaran?
- N Chandrasekaran was CEO and managing director of Tata Consultancy Services. He took over as the CEO on October 6, 2009 prior to which he was COO and Executive Director of TCS.
- Chandrasekaran is one of the youngest CEOs of the Tata Group.
- Chandrasekaran has spent his career in TCS. He joining the company in 1987 after completing Masters in Computer Applications from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, (now National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli) in TN.
- Under Chandrasekaran's leadership TCS has generated consolidated revenues of US $16.5 billion in 2015-16
