New Delhi: In a bid to woo the Brahmin voters, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday made several announcements, including the inclusion of lesson on Bhagwan Parshuram in the school curriculum.

He also said that his government has decided to give scholarships to all students studying Sanskrit.

Addressing a gathering after unveiling a 21-foot tall metal statue of Bhagwan Parshuram in a programme named 'Akshayotsava' at Bhopal's Gufa Mandir premises,  Chouhan also announced honorarium of Rs 5000 per month to the priests of temples having no land.

Chouhan said that a committee would be formed to keep the temple property safe.

Asserting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas”, the Chief Minister said the general public has become capable due to the same.

Chouhan said people can never leave behind the “Sanatan Dharma”, but “Raj Dharma” is also necessary.
