Monsoon session of parliament begins today: Here's list of bills likely to be introduced
An agenda has also been kept to pass at least one pending bill in both the houses.
New Delhi: As the monsoon session of Parliament began on Wednesday, the government is set to introduce new bills in both the houses. As per sources, one new bill shall be presented in Rajya Sabha and 4 new will be introduced in lower house of the parliament.
Besides this, an agenda has also been kept to pass at least one pending bill in both the houses.
Below is the list of bills which the government is likely to introduce the Lok Sabha in monsoon session:
- The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018: This bill will be introduced by Maneka Gandhi, which aims at preventing trafficking of persons, especially women and children and to provide care, protection and rehabilitation to the victims of trafficking, to persecute offenders and to create a legal, economic and social environment for the victims and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
- The Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Bill, 2018: This bill is likely to be introduced by Shiv Pratap Shukla, which would aim to provide for a comprehensive mechanism to ban the unregulated deposit schemes and to protect the interest of depositors and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
- The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (Amendment) Bill, 2018: This bill is likely to be introduced by Suresh Prabhu, which would amend the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008.
- The Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2018. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad would introduce a bill, which would aim at amending the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- The National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities (Amendment) Bill, 2018: The bill is to be introduced by Thawarchand Gehlot. The bill aims at amendment of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999.
