On Last 'Mann Ki Baat' Of 2022, PM Modi Recalls India's Achievements In Defence, Space, Health Sectors
The PM said that India touched the milestone of 220 crore vaccination and Indian exports crossed the magical number of $440 billion in 2022.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation in the 96th and this year’s last edition of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. The Prime Minister said, "The year 2022 was wonderful, India completed 75 years of Independence while 'Amrit Kaal' began. India progressed rapidly & became the world's fifth-largest economy."
He said that India touched the milestone of 220 crore vaccination and Indian exports crossed the magical number of $440 billion in 2022.
PM said, "2022 is the year of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' with the commissioning of the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. India showed strength in Space, Drone and Defence Sector."

Emphasing on India's health sector, the PM said. "Mumbai's Tata Memorial Center's research shows that yoga is effective for patients with breast cancer. As per the centre, regularly practising Yoga brought a 15 percent reduction in the recurrence of the disease among patients."
He said, "In the last few years, we overcame various challenges in the health sector. We eradicated smallpox & polio-like diseases from India. Now, Kala Azar disease will also be eradicated. This disease is now only in 4 districts of Bihar and Jharkhand."

PM Modi also remembered former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He said, "Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee took India to newer heights in every sector including education, foreign policy, and the field of infrastructure."
