Missing Eyeballs, Crushed Head, Chopping Wound: Autopsy Of 3 Others Killed In Manipur Reveals Chilling Details

The report says that the eyeballs of a 10-month-old and that of a woman were missing, while several bullet injuries were found on an eight-year-old girl's body.

Autopsy reports of six persons, whose bodies were found floating in a river in Manipur, have revealed chilling details about the Meitei family that was allegedly kidnapped and killed by Kuki-Zo militants in Jiribam district. The report says that the eyeballs of a 10-month-old and that of a woman were missing, while several bullet injuries were found on an eight-year-old girl's body.The autopsy was coducted by the Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The report noted that the eyeballs of a 10-month-old boy identified as Laishram Lamnganba were missing from the sockets and his body in a state of thawing. He also had a  chopping wound and his head was dislocated.

His body was brought to the mortuary on November 17 with the infant wearing a T-shirt and a vest. But offiicials said his body was in a state of decomposition, India Today reported.

An eight-year-old girl named Telen Thajanganbi reportedly suffered extensive injuries and abdominal injuries, which are said to have caused due to bullets. A 31-year-old woman named Telem Thoibi also suffered bullet injuries. Her scalp had been crushed and her skull bones were damaged. She also had missing membranes.

These chilling details about the missing woman, girl, infant were made public on Wednesday, days after the post-mortem report of three other missing members of the same family was made public. The bodies of the family members were recovered from the Barak river, which flows from Manipur's Jiribam to Cachar in south Assam.

The previous autopsy report of three other members of the family, including L Heitonbi Devi (25), three-year-old Chingkheinganba Singh, and 60-year-old Y Rani Devi suffered grievous injuries. 

Singh's report showed that his right eye was missing and he had a bullet wound in the skull. It also noted cut wounds, chest fractures, and lacerations on the forearm and other parts of his body.

 L Heitonbi Devi had three bullet wounds in the chest and one in the buttock. Her body was found seven days after her death on November 18.
