Minor Fire Breaks Out In New Parliament Building, No Casualties Reported
It was a minor fire and the fire staff present inside the Parliament complex doused it even before the fire tenders reached the spot, said the officials.
New Delhi: A minor fire had broken out in the Parliament building in Central Delhi on Saturday, said the official, reported news agency PTI adding that a safety net of the building had caught fire. The fire department officials said that they received information regarding the blaze at around 12:35 pm follwoing which five fire tenders were pressed to the spot.
It was a minor fire and the fire staff present inside the Parliament complex doused it even before the fire tenders reached the spot, they said.
A similar incident was reported on Monday when a fire broke out in three temporary shelters for workers working in the Central Vista project near Parliament House.
