Meerut: Stressed over financial issues man kills daughter, wife; later commits suicide

The matter came to light when the family members of Ishtiyaq reached the house, they found that the house was locked inside and no one responded even after knocking the door several times.

Meerut: In a shocking incident, a man facing excessive financial issues committed suicide after killing his wife and daughter in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on Monday. The cops found the dead bodies of the woman and her daughter on the bed, whereas the man was found hanging from the ceiling of the house. The matter came to light when the family members of Ishtiyaq reached the house, they found that the house was locked inside and no one responded even after knocking the door several times. On peeping into the house from the window, the family members were shocked and immediately called the police and informed them about the incident. The police and forensic teams on reaching the house removed Ishtiyaq’s body from the ceiling. Ishtiyaq and his family used to reside in Meerut’s Lisadi Gate police station area. His 17-year-old son died only a few days ago, after which the entire family was under a lot grief. Ishtiyaq’s father Ali Hasan said that his son and daughter-in-law had regular fights because of the stress and his granddaughter was also upset because of these regular fights. He also said that Ishtiyaq started consuming a lot of alcohol after his son’s demise and that was a major reason behind the fights between the two.
