PM Modi At 'Mann Ki Baat': 'Want To Stay In Service, Not In Power, I Am Only A Servant Of The People'

Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi addressing the nation through 'Mann Ki Baat' program

Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the people of the country through the radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'. Mann Ki Baat program is PM Modi's monthly radio address. This time he mentioned the program of 'Amrit Mahotsav' of independence commemorating 75 years of Independence. 

PM Modi said, 'I want to be in service, not power, I am just a servant of the people.'

He said the Amrit Mahotsav of independence is being celebrated from panchayat to parliament. PM Modi said, "The country also celebrates Navy Day and Armed Force Flag Day in the month of December. We all know that the country is also celebrating the golden jubilee year of the 1971 war on December 16. I dedicate all these occasions to the security forces of the country and remember our heroes.''

Speaking at the Mann Ki Baat program, the PM said, "Amrit Mahotsav, along with learning also inspires us to do something for the country. Now, whether it is the common man or governments, from panchayats to parliament, the Amrit Mahotsav is resonating in the whole country and there are a series of programs organized in this festival."

PM Modi said, "In view of the contribution of its tribal community to freedom, the country has also celebrated 'Janjatiya Gaurav Saptaah'. There were also programs related to this in different parts of the country. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, people from tribal communities such as, Jarawa and Onge, presented a live exhibition of their culture."

PM also spoke with beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Earlier, in the Mann Ki Baat program aired on October 24, PM Modi had emphasized on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and digitization of land. During the event, PM Modi had said that India is the first country in the world to create a digital record of land in its villages with the help of drones. This address is broadcasted on the last Sunday of every month. The programme is broadcast through all channels of All India Radio and Doordarshan. It is also broadcast on All India Radio's mobile app. The first episode of the Mann Ki Baat program was aired on October 3 in 2014.
