Mandi: Narendra Modi praises Indian Army, says entire world is applauding our defence forces
New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised Indian Army and said entire world applauding our defence forces.
"The whole world is praising Indian Army", PM Modi said in a rally in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
He reached the poll-bound state to inaugurate three hydropower projects.
On the ocsassion, Modi also mentioned the name of ex-CM Prem Kumar Dhumal and said-"Shanta Kumar Ji is remembered as 'Paani Wale CM' and Dhumal Ji as 'Grameen Sadak Wale CM'.
At the rally Modi didn't forgot to mention about One Rank One Pension (OROP) and said OROP was pending for 40 yrs, and it is BJP which completed the work.
"During my campaign, I had spoken here about OROP. Today in this "veerbhumi", I can say that this right of yours have been given", Modi said.
PM also praised the people of Himachal and said, they have hearts as big as the Himalayas
Talking about his Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Modi said-"I'm thankful to Mandi people for making a success".
In HP, it is the first visit of the PM after coming to power. In Mandi, he inaugurated three hydropower projects-namely Koldam project (800 MW) executed by National Thermal Power Corporation, Parvati Stage II project (530 MW) of National Hydropower Corporation and Rampur hydropower project (412 MW) of Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam.
Keeping Modi's rally in mind, elaborate security arrangements have been made on Tuesday. In addition to one rally in the Mandi, Modi will also attend another rally in Nahan. The state Assembly elections are slated for 2017.
The HP Legislative Assembly election will be held in late 2017. Political fight will take place between the 68 members of the Legislative Assembly. The term of current Legislative Assembly will end on 7 January 2018.
