The leaders have claimed that the trailer has shown the party leaders in 'disparaging' manner

New Delhi: A day after filmmakers released the trailer of the movie ‘The accidental Prime Minister,’ which is based on a book written by former PM Manmohan Singh’s media advisor-Sanjaya Baru; Maharashtra Congress has objected to the trailer of the movie. The party has said that the movie trailer has shown party leaders in bad light and they have now written to the producers of the movie asking them to screen it especially for Congress leaders and get their approval or the party won’t let the movie to be released. The film is based on the 2014 book written BY Sanjay Baru and covers Singh’s tenure from 2004 to 2014 as the prime minister. Party Youth wing President Satyajeet Tambe has reacted saying, “Facts have been played with and presented in an incorrect manner with regards to the ex-prime minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi ji and the Congress party.” Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has enacted Manmohan Singh in the movie, whereas Akshay Khanna has enacted Sanjay Baru.
