Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw responded to allegations pertaining to Pegasus Project in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Kisan Sansad, Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Farmers who have been protesting the three agri-laws since November 2020 will demonstrate at Jantar Mantar from Thursday. The security at Jantar Mantar road has been beefed up by Delhi police as scores of farmers are scheduled to hold a protest. 

The Delhi government has allowed farmers to hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar, Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal has given special permission to allows 200 farmers to protest until August 9th. A group of 200 farmers will travel to Jantar Mantar from the Singhu border in buses with a police escort and hold protests there from 11 am to 5 pm, Delhi Police told PTI.

The Delhi government has also granted permission to farmers to hold protest, subject to following all COVID protocols.

Meanwhile, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will speak in Parliament at 2 pm today. He is likely to talk about the 'Pegasus Project' row after addressing the matter in Lok Sabha

"In the past, similar claims were made regarding the use of Pegasus on WhatsApp. Those reports had no factual basis and were categorically denied by all parties, including in the Supreme Court": IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on 'Pegasus Project' in Rajya Sabha

"The press reports of July 18 also appear to be an attempt to malign the Indian Democracy and its well-established institutions," he added.
