Khalistan Sympathiser Amritpal Singh Seen At Delhi's ISBT Bus Terminal: Report

Following intelligence reports of radical preacher Amritpal Singh being seen at Delhi's ISBT bus terminal, teams of Delhi and Punjab police are searching in and around the city.

Radical preacher Amritpal Singh, who is still on the run from the police, was spotted at Delhi's ISBT bus terminal. Following intelligence inputs of the sighting of the Khalistan sympathiser at Delhi's ISBT bus terminal, teams of Delhi and Punjab police are conducting a search operation in Delhi and its environs, news agency ANI reported on Friday citing sources.

According to ANI, he may be disguised as a sadhu and is accompanied by Papalpreet Singh.

Since this morning, teams of Delhi and Punjab Police have been scanning CCTV footage at the Inter State Bus Terminal in Kashmere Gate.

Singh, who is charged with attempted murder, obstructing law enforcement, and causing discord, has been on the run since Saturday when officers attempted to stop his motorcade and arrest him.

He was last seen in Haryana on Monday when a CCTV camera captured him leaving the home of a woman who had sheltered him while he fled the police. The footage showed the fugitive separatist hiding his face behind an umbrella.

Baljeet Kaur, the woman who housed Amritpal Singh and his aide Papalpreet Singh in Haryana's Kurukshetra, has been arrested, according to police.

As per the reports, Singh changed five vehicles in 12 hours to avoid arrest. On the first day of the police crackdown on him and his organisation, 'Waris Punjab De,' which was founded by actor and activist Deep Sidhu, he was seen driving a Mercedes before switching to a Maruti Brezza SUV. He was later seen riding a pillion on a bike wearing a pink turban and black goggles, implying that he tried to disguise himself to avoid police scrutiny.

The police have released seven photographs of the separatist, including some in which he is not wearing a turban, in order to elicit public assistance in apprehending him.

Amritpal Singh rose to prominence in recent months after he and his supporters stormed a police station armed with swords, knives, and guns last month after one of the preacher's aides was arrested for alleged assault and attempted kidnapping.
