J&K: Gunfight in Bandipora, one terrorist killed

New Delhi: : In a fresh encounter on Thursday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, one militant was gunned down by the security forces. The militant was killed in Aragam Chitti Bandi village. After a tip-off, the security forces surrounded the village on early Thursday morning. Post which, the area was cordoned off. After sometime, the  militants started  firing upon the security forces personnel triggering the gunfight.  Firing was going on at the encounter site when last reports came in, the official said, adding more details about the operation were awaited.
