The funds were distributed among militants in North Kashmir, by the trio and they had been on the security forces radar. But it was no possible to track them without ample proof as the transactions were all through genuine means up to the payment to militants. A trap was laid, and police managed to arrest the trio while one of the kingpins from Bandipore was passing the money to the OGWs. The three persons who have been arrested belong to Kupwara, Bandipore, and Sopore, however, police are not ruling out involvement in other districts as well.
