New Delhi: An army vehicle came under attack by suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch on Friday evening, prompting the security forces to launch a search operation, news agency PTI reported. According to defence spokesperson, details of the incident are being ascertained.

The incident comes just a few weeks after terrorists ambushed two army vehicles killing four soldiers in Poonch. As per reports, the firing was aimed at a cavalcade of vehicles of the security forces in Krishnagati sector on Poonch. The soldiers fired back. There is no report of any death or injury so far.

"At around 1800 hours today, a Security Forces convoy of vehicles was fired upon by suspected terrorists from a jungle near Krishna Ghati in Poonch sector. No casualties to own troops.
