'Insult Of Constitution': Jagdeep Dhankhar Slams Oppn For Staging Rajya Sabha Walkout During PM's Address
Criticising the opposition, Dhankhar said that by walking out of the House, the leaders of opposition parties have challenged the Indian Constitution.
Parliament Session: The members of the opposition staged a walkout of the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address. The move did not go down well with Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, and he criticised opposition parties for staging a walkout while the Prime Minister was speaking in the House.
Criticising the opposition, Dhankhar said that by walking out of the House, the leaders of opposition parties have challenged the Indian Constitution. "They (the opposition) have challenged the Indian Constitution. They have outraged the spirit of the Indian Constitution. They have disregarded the oath they have undertaken," he said.

We Walked Out Because PM Said Wrong Things In The House: Kharge
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge said that while speaking in the Upper House, PM Modi was telling lies and its his habit to speak lies and say things beyond the truth.
Speaking on the Opposition's walkout from the Rajya Sabha, Kharge said, "We walked out because the PM was addressing the House on the President's address and told some wrong things to the House. It's his habit to lie and say things beyond the truth. I have just asked him that, when he was speaking about the Constitution, you didn't make the Constitution, you people were against it. I was just clarifying that who the people were for and against the Constitution."
"They (RSS) have opposed the Constitution. They burnt the effigy of BR Ambedkar & Pandit Nehru... He says time and again that we disrespected BR Ambedkar, he said it there (in Lok Sabha) and he is saying it today also... I wanted to tell what Babasaheb has said in the Constituent assemble and what the RSS has written in the Organiser," he added.
