J&K: Security Forces Recover Huge Cache Of Arms & Ammunition In Kupwara's Tangdhar Sector
Search in the area is going on and further recoveries are expected. It is, however, not known which organization these weapons belong to.
Kupwara: Continuing its operations against cross-border smuggling of weapons and drugs, the army and police in a joint operation in forward areas of Tangdhar sector in Kupwara, have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions.
The arms and ammunition, smuggled from across the border were recovered in the forward village of Jabdi in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara today.

Among the recoveries are 3 AK-47 rifles, 6 AK magazines, 4 9 mm pistols & 9 pistols. The arms seem to have been recently brought from across the border, and police are not ruling out the use of drones in the drop of the weapons.

Earlier last week, troops had recovered 15 Plastic explosive sticks, 6 grenades, and other arms and ammunition in the same area, along with over 8 kilograms of heroin meant for terror financing.
