Indian Railways Ticket Booking for Special Trains: These 80 trains are in addition to the existing 30 special Rajdhani type trains and 200 Special Mail Express trains.

New Delhi: The Indian Railways had announced that 80 more special trains will be added from September 12 to the trains currently operational. The bookings for the latest ones have opened today on the official website of IRCTC.  Due to the coronavirus spread, people are advised to book tickets for the train through with the official website or the mobile app of IRCTC as these will be fully reserved trains. The Indian Railways had also informed about the schedule for the new special trains being added, passengers can check it here: All passenger train operations were suspended because of the nationwide lockdown from March 25. However, services resumed in a staggered manner with Shramik Special trains for stranded migrant workers from May 1. As earlier stated, these trains will be in addition to the existing 30 special Rajdhani type trains that hit tracks again from May 12 and 200 Special Mail Express trains introduced back on April 1, taking the total to 310.
