Indian Students In Sumy Advised To Be Ready To Leave On Short Notice, Time & Date To Be Communicated Soon

Taking to Twitter, the Embassy wrote, “Team from the Embassy of India is stationed in Poltava City to coordinate the safe passage of Indian students stranded in Sumy to Western borders via Poltava.

New Delhi: The Indian Embassy in Ukraine, on Sunday, issued an advisory for students stuck in Sumy that they should be ready to leave for Western border at short notice. 

Taking to Twitter, the Embassy wrote, “Team from the Embassy of India is stationed in Poltava City to coordinate the safe passage of Indian students stranded in Sumy to Western borders via Poltava. Confirmed time & date will be issued soon. Indian students advised to be ready to leave on short notice.”

 

 

Meanwhile, fresh advisories were issued by the Indian Embassy in Hungary and Ukraine for the Indian nationals. 

The embassies in Hungary and Ukraine took to their Twitter handles and asked the stranded students staying in their own accommodations to reach the Hungary City Centre in Budapest between 10am and noon and also fill out a Google form on an ‘urgent basis’.

“Important Announcement: Embassy of India begins its last leg of Operation Ganga flights today. All those students staying in their OWN accommodation ( other than arranged by Embassy) are requested to reach  @Hungariacitycentre , Rakoczi Ut 90, Budapest “10 am-12 pm” plz note !” tweeted the Indian Embassy in Hungary.

Union Minister General VK Singh who is in Poland tweeted on Sunday that Indian student, Harjot Singh who was shot at and injured in Ukraine’s Kyiv will return back on Monday under ‘Operation Ganga’.
