Booking Begins For 200 Passenger Trains Starting From June 1; Check List Of Trains

Indian Railways will start operations of 200 passenger train services. These trains shall run from 1st June. The official will accept online bookings from 10:00 am tomorrow, May 21.

New Delhi: In a recent development, Indian Railways has decided to partially resume the operations of passenger train across India. According to the latest reports, Indian Railway Ministry took the decision in consultation with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Booking for these trains have begun at the official website IRCTC from 10 am on Thursday. Going by the official announcement, the Indian Railways will start operations of 200 passenger train services. These trains shall run from 1st June. These trains will be fully reserved, with both AC & Non AC classes in it. General coaches shall also have reserved seat for sitting. There will be no unreserved coach in the train. The 200 special trains will run as per the time table issued by the railways. As reported by a leading daily TOI, the ministry said anyone can book tickets online to travel in these trains, though it would largely cater to the need of migrant workers. Meanwhile, news Agency ANI has posted the complete list of 200 trains that will run from May 1. With nationwide shutdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, Central governmnet had prohibited passenger trains beyond special Shramik services which recently started to rescue and ferry stranded migrants from one state to their hometowns. So far, IRCTC has run more than 1,600 special shramik trains since May 1., over 900 of which were bound to Uttar Pradesh, 428 to Bihar and over 100 to Madhya Pradesh.
