India Optimistic About Future, Will Transmit Same Positive Spirit To Global Economy: PM Modi At G20 FMCBG Meeting
Speaking at the G20 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, PM Modi said that the global economy is posed with challenges and that the global supply chain has been affected.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the Indian consumers and producers are optimistic and confident about the future, and hoped that the same positive spirit will be transmitted to the global economy.
Speaking at the G20 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, PM Modi said that the global economy is posed with challenges and that the global supply chain has been affected. He also said that he Covid-19 pandemic delivered a "once-in-a-lifetime blow to the global economy adding that many developing economies are still coping with its effect.

Speaking about digital payments system, PM Modi said underlined, "Over the past few years, we've created a highly secure, trusted and efficient public digital infrastructure. Our Digital payments ecosystem has radically transformed governance, financial inclusion and ease of living."
He said that during India's G20 Presidency, a new fintech platform has been created "which allows our global G20 guests to use India's path-breaking digital payment platform UPI."
