India denies Pakistan's claim of killing its soldiers

New Delhi: Indian Army on Thursday denied Pakistan's claim of killing its soldiers after Pakistani Army Chief Raheel Sharif said 11 Indian soldiers were killed in cross border firing on November 14. "No fatal casualties due to Pak firing on 14, 15 or 16 Nov. Pak Army Chief claim of killing Indian soldiers on 14 Nov false," Northern Command of Indian Army said in a tweet. According to a report in Dawn newspaper, General Sharif on Wednesday said 11 Indian soldiers were killed on November 14 after Pakistan Army "responded to unprovoked firing". On November 14, Pakistan had said seven of its soldiers were killed in firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Also on the same day, one terrorist was killed by Indian soldiers while attempting infiltration amid Pakistan Army's shelling and firing at one of three Indian positions on the LoC in Rajouri and Jammu districts.
