Independence Day 2021: Jawan Deployed For PM's Security At Red Fort Faints, Admitted To Hospital

Independence Day 2021: On Sunday, a Delhi Police Jawan in the Prime Minister's security unit fell unconscious due to heat during the Independence Day celebrations at the country's proud Red Fort. The incident occurred after Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his speech on the 75th Independence Day. As people started to leave, the policeman fell unconscious near entry gate No. 4C.
Other personnel immediately took action and took him to an Indian Army camp in the Red Fort for medical help. A woman police officer from the same security unit told IANS, "We are from Delhi Police but our dress is a plane safari suit because we are part of the Prime Minister's security. We are always posted in PM's programmes."
Though the exact reason for the policeman's fainting is not yet clear but senior Delhi Police officials said he may have fainted due to the heat. He was later taken to the hospital by ambulance.
